Malgrado le sue dimensioni ridotte, grazie alla tecnologia Music Integrity Engine® e iBX che combinate sono in grado di estendere dinamicamente la profondità del basso, il nuovo Kube 8 MIE è in grado di fornire delle performance eccezionalmente profonde ma con un controllo senza precedenti. Il suo Woofer da 200 mm in configurazionecassa chiusa è spinto da un potente amplificatore da 300W in classe D, esattamente come i modelli superiori.

Il design minimale e contemporaneo ma al tempo stesso elegante di Kube 8 MIE si fonde perfettamente con l’arredamento di qualsiasi contesto domestico, grazie anche alla compatibilità con l’adattatore wireless KW1. Inoltre, grazie alla capacità unica di Kef di progettare, integrare e costruire in casa i propri driver e componenti, Kube 8 MIE porta l’ottimizzazione dei costi e del suono ad un livello completamente nuovo, permettendone l’inserimento in qualsiasi sistema audio di qualità.

Kef Kube 8 MIE è studiato appositamente per completare piccoli sistemi Home Theatre o HiFi a due canali, senza mai rinunciare a controllo e pressione sonora. Infatti le ridotte dimensioni lo rendono semplice da integrare anche dove lo spazio è minimo con performance  sempre di livello. Anche la configurazione in cassa chiusa ne facilita notevolmente il posizionamento.

Kef Kube 8 MIE – Connections

This subwoofer, like the rest of the Kef range, offers unrivalled flexibility in its category. With a range of connections that goes from the LFE input, line input and high level input (from speaker cables), phase selection, crossover with adjustable low-pass filter and three EQ settings controlled by the innovative proprietary DSP. Connecting and configuring it is really extremely simple. And even optimising the sound of the sub based on the position in the room thanks to the DSP will be child’s play!

The intuitive pre-set options thus always guarantee excellent performance from Kube, regardless of where it is positioned in the room. If connected to an active system from the KEF LS line, many of these settings can be controlled directly from the Kef Connect App, automatically by entering the model of Sub used, or in manual mode. The “Auto wake-up” function allows the device to turn on when it detects audio signals, the “Always on” mode keeps it on while the “12V trigger” provides automatic activation.

To further improve the performance of the sub it is possible to use an isolator from the IsoAcoustics range which will help to have even clearer and more detailed bass, while minimising unwanted booms.

The dedicated KEF KW1 subwoofer device makes Kube 8 MIE completely wireless allowing for optimal positioning without being limited by cables. The high quality wireless transmission still ensures nuanced and high impact reproduction of your favourite films and music.

Kef Kube 8 MIE – Technologies

The Kube 8 MIE features a front-firing long-throw driver with a large cone area and high excursion, which offers higher output at lower frequencies. Its 300W RMS Class D amplifier is the same as the one used in the higher models and is really efficient, improving performance thanks to its power, but always providing the right control needed.

In this new version of Kube all subwoofers have been updated with MIE Music Integrity Engine® technology, the proprietary suite of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms coded entirely by KEF ensure the synergy of each component of the subwoofer, performing incredibly fast calculations to analyze the input signals, unleashing the full potential of each product and providing unparalleled precision, all to create the best possible sound. Features such as iBX Intelligent Bass Extension provide even deeper and more precise bass at any listening level and take each product to the peak of its capabilities.

An expanded subwoofer family

This Kef active subwoofer is the most compact of the Kube family models and to which Kef adds the top model KC92, the ultra-thin T2 sub, the very small but powerful KC62 sub and the prodigious Reference 8b, with even higher performance.

The Kube family is extremely convenient and is suitable for increasing or completing HiFi and AudioVideo systems based on Kef Q Series or T Series, while it can also be used in combination with Kef R3 speakers or all models of the LS50 series such as the small LSX.

Kef Kube 8 MIE – upgrade

To further improve the already high-performance acoustic results on the low frequencies of this Kef Kube 8 MIE we recommend the inclusion in the HiFi system of Isoacoustics Aperta Sub, a decoupler to increase the definition of the bass. Thanks to four patented isolators placed at the base of its die-cast aluminum frame, Aperta Sub improves dynamics by avoiding transmitting vibrations to the supporting surface as well as to adjacent rooms.

This essential accessory is available in two versions depending on the size and weight of the subwoofer to be supported: Aperta Sub supports up to 36 kg, while the XL model supports up to 72 kg of weight.
