Audiolab’s new 9000 series sets a new standard for home audio connoisseurs.
With the CD still a widely used tool for many audiophiles, the 9000CDT is a premium offering that brings digital music playback up to the standard that a beast of a machine like the Audiolab 9000A demands.
The 9000CDT is a CD transport that incorporates a high-end mechanism developed to meet industry benchmarks set by Audiolab performance philosophies.
Following a long list of Audiolab’s award-winning CD playback devices, the 9000CDT uses a high-precision optical system with an electronic data buffer for precise and seamless CD playback. The digital read-ahead buffer to reduce errors
disc read-ahead, helps the 9000CDT play scratched and damaged CDs that might be unreadable with conventional mechanisms.
To ensure that a flawless signal reaches the accompanying DAC, the coaxial output of the 9000CDT is fed by a differential line driver. The master clock is controlled by a high-precision crystal oscillator, which allows the digital output of
both coaxial and optical sockets to exhibit incredibly low levels of jitter (digital distortion).
The low-friction load tray, sturdy aluminum base, and chassis of the 9000CDT work together to deal with the vibrations that occur due to the mechanics of a high-speed motor rotation. In addition, the transport is mounted in its own enclosure
electromagnetically shielded with a dedicated power supply. All this contributes to the exemplary digital signal extraction, while the proven resonance reduction further enhances performance and effect in auxiliary Hi-Fi equipment and
in signal chains. In addition to the class-leading CD playback design, the 9000CDT also delivers digital music files in a compatible manner via a dedicated ‘Type A’ USB connection on the back of the unit. Every significant high-resolution and lossless audio format is satisfied, including WAV, AAC and WMA, as well as compressed legacy MP3 formats.
With a 4.3-inch IPS LCD screen with a detailed yet easy-to-use GUI, the 9000CDT offers a vivid representation of information including system settings, format, folder, track details and other data.
